  Putting the temp sensor in the rad of a BE puts the attached tube VERY close
to  the left side of the right headlite bucket thus breaking the little bugger
off especially if yu have to cobble up some fittings to get it in
properly!!!!

Most of the 1275 cars that I have seen have the temperature sensor in the
side of the engine, not in the radiator. I think it is common for those who
install a 1275 into a BE to keep the original BE radiator which is different
than the radiator that came with the 1275s.
The 1275 cars used cross flow radiators. The BE used a downflow radiator
with a big tank at the top. Your radiator is original BE but NOT original
1275.
