Hi, Lester.....

Everyone has trouble with those little brake spring buggers and no, I don't recall how I did them before turning the job over to my mech who could do both sides in an hour! Frank Clarici would know the easiest method I'm sure.

Humble suggestion:
Spray those leaf springs down every 6 months or so to maintain a quiet, more gentle/subtle, smoother ride.
