There is a guy not too far away from me that has put quite a few Rover V-8s 
in MGBs & MGAs.  He does a beautiful job on those conversions.  I do not 
know the difference in engine bay room between those cars and a Spridget.  I 
assume a Spridget has less space.  It sure would change the power to weight 
ratio though.
