showers at thunderbolt course not lightning coures...so far. i did not notice any sand fleas during the SVRA event i ran a few weeks ago. but a serious lack of vegitation is a huge annoyance due to the dust factor. drivers meetings spoke of slowing down but not stopping for dust from other drivers going off course. visibulity can be that bad at current state. visibility is seriously hampered if a car goes off course. we were pitted just over the bridge near the fuel pumps. the course is fun. but untill the complex gets better developed , the dirt / dust factor is quite unplesant. if evryone keeps (spectators included) on asphalt , great! eventually it will become rather nice. harvey and brian call it a "work in progress". you'll see what that means. *wink*
aw heck , it's new. i'm taking my gear in case i can bum so much as a few laps in a practice session on the other course this weekend.

chuck.
sore from corner working last weekend at weatherly , but would drive this weekend if given a chance!
BTW? since when has bugs and dirt kept anyone from going racing?? *VBG* c.

>> sand fleas are nothing compared to how filthy dirty you will be by the end of day one! spent one weekend there a few weeks back(second group to run there). there is next to no vegitation growing to retain loose sandy dirt. any competitor goes or a spectator drives to a fence to watch the race and it's a pretty nasty dust cloud! also dust devils if it's windy! the inside of my trailer is filthy. i'm expecting to go to the lightning course to spectate on saturday. i could course instruct on the thunderbolt course after the track time i had during the SVRA event driving the saab. i feel the need to hear radial engines combined with vintage race cars this weekend. ;)
