The late great Eric Jones told me his warranty, which he amazingly extended to race cars, was only good if you used motor oil. He recommended non-detergent 30 or 40 weight, the cheap $1 a quart Wal Mart stuff. I never had one of Eric's gearboxes fail or even wear, and Lord knows I tried!
