Thanks, anyway, Bill.  But, if you've read any of my "rants" in defense
of Lucas electrics, you would know that I'm sort of like the King of
Clean & Tight Connections, particularly the battery terminals ;).
That having been said, I'm not ruling out the possibility that a
connection has worked loose, and I will be checking them when I finally
get the opportunity to track down the fault (hopefully tomorrow
evening).

You might clean all connections starting with the two at the battery.
