[Spridgets] Single M/C pipe routing question

My '65 has a single master cylinder
It is a LH drive car and the clutch slave cylinder is on the right (passenger 
side) of the rib-cage.
Does anybody have a good picture of the routing for the hydraulic line??
Or a very good description for this simpleton to follow??
On mine is has been horrbly mangled and runs across the top of the tranny 
just behing the block.
I'm reasonablt sure that is not the way it is supposed to be...
