With great sadness, I've had to cancel my plans (and both rooms I had
reserved) to attend.  I had really been looking forward to the drive out
and back, as well as the event, itself.  My reason for canceling has to
do with current economic conditions, which, right now, are so good that
I've just been buried with work, with no let-up in sight.  As a result,
I've had to alter my travel plans pretty dramatically, for the month of
June.

So, two non-smoking, king-size rooms have been returned to the (small)
pool of rooms available for the Golden Jubilee Celebration.  I sure hope
someone will get to enjoy them.

It's been one of those days....   Sorry to bomb the list with this but I
think I finally have it correct on the third try...

Tomorrow, Friday May 23rd is the last day to get into the headquarters
hotel
at the special rate. From Saturday on the price goes up almost double!!
This is a VERY popular area during June and hotel rooms are VERY hard to
find on short notice.  You can get a room reserved by calling the hotel
at
800.348.4731.  Be sure to tell them you are with the "Spridgets" group.

The deadline for cheap registration for the big event at Lake of the
Ozarks
is June 1st!!  Registration is $50 but starting on June 2nd, the rate
goes
up to $75!  You can register online using PayPal or using your credit
card.
Go to the website at
http://www.Sprite-MidgetClub.org<http://www.sprite-midgetclub.org/>and
click on "Registration" on the upper right part of the menu bar. Just
follow the directions. You don't have to have PayPal to register this
way.
If you'd rather mail your registration, make sure it is postmarked by
June
1st!  Those postmarked June 2nd or later will need to pay $75.

A number of folks are bringing spare Spridget parts with them to sell in
the
informal vendors area at the hotel. If you've got some spares laying
around,
why not bring them along? You might just use them to cover some of your
travel costs!

The Special Limited Edition Cloisonne and Gold Plate Grill Badges are
selling briskly. We've already sold about half of the ones we have so if
you
want one, go quickly to the website. You can either download and print
the
order form and mail in with your $36 check, or you can send $36 to our
PayPal account at "SpriteMidgetClub at gmail.com"  You don't even need a
PayPal
account to do this.

This promises to be a great time with lots of Spridgets and Spridget
people.
You're not going to want to miss it!!
