I have a Datsun tranny sitting in my basement patiently waiting for me to finish the 1275. I have been tempted to overhaul the Datsun engine that is sitting beside it and put it in the '79 with the tranny. It is a 1488 with a lot more hp than the 1500, plus it is lighter. Anybody ever put the Datsun engine in a Spridget? Any Caveats?
