Ok, so when I had the head rebuilt I told the nice shop to just ignore those secondary springs as this was not going to be a race engine. I just noticed in one of my manuals that those may be stock. This is for the 948 but the head is a 1098 that's been worked on.. so, do I need to buy some inner springs and install? Thanks all, Lester
