Folks,

I do appreciate everybodys sentiments and comments...
 
Here's what I basically learned after a year of spending $$$ (that I could ill 
afford) on Attorneys' and legal stuff, etc., and getting nowhere...

If there is any mention or wording in the ad or by the seller to the effect of
"... as this is old and is therefore 'as is'....", or
"... due to it's age, I cannot give a warranty.." , etc...
or something like that..  then the item description isn't worth a hoot... 

I just wish I knew about this great list and its members *before* I bought the 
beast...

Anyway, the main intent of my email is to make sure that nobody else on 
the list, or their friends and acquaintances, gets 'taken' by this chappie...
