Yea, Biff sugested aquarium tubing.

I don't know,  I am sure that works.  It just does'nt sound much better than 
the sheet metal nuts.
I'll give ti a try and see how it goes.

What I would really like is some clever spring metal thingy that would have 
two squeze tabs on it.
It would not only grab the pin but would keep a constant pull on it.
To release it you just squeeze the tabs.
