Buster, and any California guys who can help
Buster has a trailer, semi assembled that he can donate to the cause.
If the trailer can get up to Glen's and the Sprite can get bolted or
securely strapped to the trailer, this will make the
long haul a little simpler.
Nobody has to worry about a trailer or switching the Sprite from his to
their trailer.
Assuming a 2" ball and a flat 4 plug, it's just a matter of switching
the trailer to the next tow vehicle.
A hand shake and the car is eastbound.
I know Glen wants it gone, I would like to see it start it's journey.
I did not say anything to Father Jack about this yet.
Also many people said they would donate $$ to the cause, this would be
great.
Money towards gas and/or parts for the project. If you have parts you
want to donate, that will work too.
I am set with good used parts, this Sprite does not need any metal, but
It will get a 100% new brake system,
New shox, and suspension bushings along with king pins. So if you have
any brake rotors or a QSK-136 hanging around,
I'll take it ;)
I do have a running 1098 that is going in the car, Disc brakes, and I
can make an interior for a few hundred bucks.
I don't think the Bugeye has any seats, I only have 1 MKII seat which
will work but another would help.
Just Ed can set up a donation spot on his site for those who wish to give.
IF Glen's car does not get a ride, I do have a really rough Bugeye but
it has no bonnet, no floors, no sills, and serious body dents.
Glen's car is less than the patch panels I would have to buy.
Fr Jack will have a little money if he sells his 69 Midget, it's a nice
car, fresh paint, no rust, could use a top and the seats are fair. It
runs perfect. He did a number on the wheels, they really need to be
repainted, they have chinese rusting trip rings on black 1st generation
Rostyles. He wants around 4 grand, so he can finance his Bugeye project.
Any takers? It's resale red ;) I mean Show winning red. He knows
nothing about any donations or the CA rust free car that *might* get a
lift across country.
So let's get rolling, get the trailer assembled and up to Glen's. Who
wants the first leg? Davis to.....
