To answer some of the questions....

Yes running Su's w/ stock 1098 needles about 1/8" higher in the piston.
Raising the needles solved a lean condition.

The cam (crane #344-0012) is not a huge one max rpm like 5600rpm
reccommended.

The dist. IS stock....I can mod it...What specs should I be looking for?
Anyone know? I have been wanting to upgrade to electronic ign. as well.

I did think the cam was bigger as the engine really starts to pull @ 5000 and
pulls good to 6500. No sign of valve float @ 6000 like cranes website
suggests.....
