Back when I had an MGB, I had a roll bar in it. By acquiring one of those 
sets of four foam blocks that are supposed to clip onto the gunwales of the 
canoe and clipping them onto the top of the windshield and the top of the 
roll bar, I could them set the canoe rightside up on top of the blocks, tie 
it down to the shipping eyes and drive away. Got a lot of strange looks...
