[Spridgets] PDF files - NO LBC

Hi List,
 
I've just done (another) re-install of all the software on my PC starting  
with XP.  One thing that isn't back on it yet is Adobe reader (XP version)  as I 
always have to do a download and for some reason this never works very  well. 
 Did I mention I have dial-up?  Is there a way/place  to  get just Adobe 
Reader on a free CD so I can install from disc?  I did copy  Adobe to my copy 
(backup) before doing a complete re-install but I know it will  take more than 
copying it to my C drive to make it work.
 
Any helpful suggestions
