Late 60's thru the early 70's.

I had a Sony PowerPlay on one of the first (bulky) quick release  
slide mount brackets in my 1969 Ford LTD.  It wouldn't fit in my  
Triumph Herald.....

The entire unit weighed about 15 pounds ;)  And everyone who had one  
of these knew what to use the pack of matches for........
