[Spridgets] Bearing goop

I have a set of new yet-soon-to-be-discontinued
Clevite tri-metal bearings with a very thin coating on
them. It isn't nearly as thick as the stuff the old
Vandervells are packed in, but it is tacky. I usually
wash off the Vandervells with soapy water. Any
thoughts on the Clevites? Their website is silent on
it. I will ask someonee who knows for sure tomorrow,
but if one of youse answers tonight I can get them in.
