Those colours are the legal UK spec.

A turn signal can lawfully be in with another light but the other light must 
NOT flash.  Only the turn signal can flash (between 60 and 120 times per 
minute).  Minimum area was 1 square inch.  There are a few more regs now but 
basically it remains the same.
