What David said about the wiring.
Him and I were working out a 2 speed motor to work on my 67 which only 
had a single speed motor but I had to have it work off
a stock 2 position toggle switch.
We did it! And they say it couldn't be done, some MGA guru said that but 
I DID do it and with no relays.
Just some swift rewiring at the switch and yes it parks when off.
Anyway, if you can not figure it out, let me know, I have a spare and 
will trade you. I will figure it out.
