[Spridgets] Wiper motor

My wiper motor has a dead short that eats fuses.  I took it apart, but can't see anything obviously melted, etc.  I don't know how the wiring is supposed to work to test it.  Only two repair parts are available:  Brushes (which look fine) and a parking switch, which is a plastic box that could easily contain a short.  Anyone have any thoughts on simple repairs before I order a full replacement?
