If the engine is at TDC, the vac advance pointing at about 1:00, the 
rotor should be pointing at 2:00.
Me thinks your dizzy drive is out by 90*
Try moving the plug wires over 1 each. New firing order is 2-1-3-4 with 
everything where you have it.
