That and they haven't got the additive packages to keep the oil (fight contamination) "clean" in normal street use
considering racing oil/filter is changed VERY frequently relative to street oil/filter changes.

Mark, he did say that straight weights are OK for racing, but didn't think 
much of them for regular street use because they are only recommended in 
such a narrow temperature band.

I see that the Brad Penn oils are available in a straight 50W, anybody using
it instead of the 20W50 as a summer oil?
