Once again this is not rocket science skip the copper use abs plastic sprinkler tubing.
My compressor is mounted on the wall just off level enough to have the drain on the low end with a
two foot piece of nylon tubing with the drain valve on the end (easy to see when water is in tank)
The main line after the regulator is u shaped over size on the way (to prevent water from getting to
the main line) up to the line with a drain valve on the bottom again. Never bothered with a filter
but I don't paint or use tools just air. This is the set up we used in the Pattern Making shop for
over 30 years! And I've seen set ups like this in many shops over the years.

I have finally gotten the wiring done for my air compressor. Now it is time
to do some plumbing for it. Grassroots Motorsports recommends using 3/4"
schedule L or K copper tubing for the main run with 1/2" drops. Fine with
me. Questions arise as to appropriate hose to connect from the compressor to
the tubing, whose filter and regulator to use, etc. Speak to me!
