[Spridgets] major domo

Hello all, --a friend of mine would like to join this list.  I  downloaded 
the major domo "LISTS" but it does not list the Spridgets list. Can  we just 
send a message to Major Domo with "subscribe Spridgets" as I did years  ago to 
join for myself?  What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in
