That's true.  I am in the pro audio biz.  Bose are a joke to pro audio
folks.  I used to be a Klipsch snob, and dealer, until they sold out like
everyone else.  I had a Klipsch rep try to tell me how flat the frequency
response of a speaker array was while we were both looking at my real-time
analyzer.  The response curve looked like the Alps.  JBL is the standard
brand for motion picture exhibition.  Bose dabbled in that market but
couldn't make anything that sounded good.

Wattage ratings don't mean a hill of beans.  Fosgate underrates their
stuff.  25 watts of Fosgate power is like 200 watts of some other makers.  A
50 watt Marshall guitar stack is a loud thing.  It is like tread ratings on
tires:  Everyone puts a number but company A's numbers don't have any
relation to company B's numbers.  They are not at all relative.
