After a time delay lag my other post should have arrived by now. I will add
a bit more info though.

In my experience sale and marketing have no idea what kind of diff there car
has and if they have a brand name or vague description they promise to call
someone and get back to you but they never do.

I don't perceive a difference there IS A DIFFERENCE. I'm not just talking
about a brand or a design. The fact is a true LSD has very significant driving
characteristics to a Torsen type of diff. The characteristics are due to the
very specific way the power is transferred according to the diff. The torsen
balances the power evenly across the 2 wheels by locking up when one wheel
spins whereas the LSD switches all the power it can (varying according to design
and settings) to the wheel with grip.

A back to back test on a wet road in a rear wheel drive car soon teaches they
are quite different and not just a perception by myself or anyone else.

Also there are more than one type of LSD - clutch pack type is one made by
several manufacturers while Cam and Pawl made (NLA) by Jack Knight is another.
A Torsen is not an LSD and neither is a Quaife.

Wikipedia is ok but it's not always necessarily authoritive in my experience.
