[Spridgets] Spridgets?

I hope this isn't a stupid question....But, bear with me, I'm new at this.

Are ALL Austin-Healey Bugeye/Frogeye Sprites commonly referred to as Spridgets?

I understand the Sprites and Midgets are considered "twins", but getting ready to restore a Sprite, I want to know if their "same-ness" is 100%, or do I need to be on the look-out for the differences.
