Hello David,

       depends upon what you mean by "close"... wenatchee is in
       eastern washinton, and tho not too distant in terms of miles,
       the cultures of the two different sides of the cascade
       mountains are widely disparate....(i'm on the west side).. i've
       often thought that washington and oregon should have been
       seperated along the mountain range, east-west, rather than
       along the columbia river, north south.

       on the plus side, you get to live in WASHINGTON state, where
       the people ARE reasonable, as opposed to living in oregon,
       where they are simply nuts... I can see why we split from
       them!.. (flame suit on)
