[Spridgets] 1965 Midget for Sale

Just returned from my trip to IL publicized recently, and despite sitting in
2 separate 1/2 hour construction delays, and driving 70 mph the rest of the
time, my MKIII Sprite, the equivalent of what's for sale below, returned 38
mpg.

I just got a call from a guy who is looking to sell his 1965 MG Midget Mark 
II. As you probably know, these were the transitional years when they had 
the nice smooth 1098 engine, the stowable top and the roll-up windows. If 
they had only used round wheel arches, I would be looking for one myself. He

is the third owner, but he still has the original title from the car as well

as the original tonneau (which still fits!). It has been completely 
reconditioned including the 1098 engine and transmission. White with a black

interior with the white piping. New top. Guy is getting old and wants to 
downsize to just an MGA and an MGB. Really wants to find someone who will 
care about the car. NADA claims the car should be worth $9,100; he would 
like to see $7,000. Anybody interested should give Mike Smith a call at
