Thanks to all who replied.... now I understand  ;^)
Every day I learn something....
I'll file it with my Old dad's words about "Oatmeal will quiet a noisy gearbox", 
and "Nylons in the sump will temperarily quieten noisy big-ends!" and a few 
other things to watch for...  :-)
