So Friday was the 34th birthday of Team Net.  It has been a lot of work, 
but I do plan on keeping it going as long as I am able.  And yesterday I 
went on a drive with the British Motor Club of Utah.  It was a pleasant 
morning, did 130 miles round trip.  Had a nice lunch at Little Taste of 
Britain in Layton, Utah.

But did I drive a British car?  No.  I drove my Nissan Pathfinder.  I 
have no British cars running.  But I am energized at the moment, plan on 
getting a Spitfire on the road by the end of summer.  Most likely the 
squaretail I drove a few years ago.  Clutch blew up, I replaced it.  It 
should be a matter of bolting the tranny back to the motor.  Then 
replacing fluids, getting a new battery no doubt, and getting it running 
again.  I'll send a picture or two of the project.

I will get it running.  When remains to be seen.

So I just went out to the garage, curious about one thing.  When was the 
car I plan to get running soon last registered?  What a shock!  16 years 
ago!  I had no idea it was that long ago.  How time flies!

Congrats for the 34 years. That's about when I bought my first Spitfire, and I still have my 2nd bought in 1994, as well as a 1962 Spitfire we've owned for about 20 years.

I hope you get yours recommissioned and back out on the road this year.

The list may not be very active these days but it does bring a feeling of warm nostalgia whenever a post pops up reminding me of those early days of the Internet when your lists brought Spitfires, and other cars, owners together from many points around the globe.

Currently heading home in a Bond Equipe convertible, roof down as always, on a day thats getting progressively wetter - very noticeable when we have to stop at junctions!

It's nice to see some activity on the Spitfire mailing list. My Spit still
has the Mail List decal on the windshield!

I bought it around 1990, and it is in good running condition.  It gets
fairly regular use around town as our spare car. Last summer I drove it
from New Jersey to the Eastern Shore of Maryland for a weekend.

So I am starting to revive some of the old web pages from long ago.  And
having a problem.  The URL is http://teamfatracing.com/ and it works, or
it doesn't.  Under Firefox, I can reach the page just fine, every time.
Under Chrome it may or may not work, returning err_connection_refused,
saying the site can't be reached.

So, if you have a couple of minutes, please attempt to check out
