[Spits] spitfire springs and things

I've lost the spring that holds the brushes inside my wiper motor together.  Does anyone have a source for these small springs?  Also a few weeks ago there was a post about a set up that used pneumatic tubes to hold open the bonnet.  Could someone send me the details on that?
