[Spits] 79 Spitfire with SU carbs

Jeff started me thinking, which is very dangerous.  If an engine has 
been de-smogged, would the plug gap be different?
Should we be treating this car like a non-U.S. 1500?  Which data should 
we use from the following web-site?
