I use Thunderbird and exactly the opposite happened! Tim's original
in my inbox and Pat and Jim went to the junk folder.<br>

Thunderbird's junk identification is supposed to learn from the
corrections I make, and for a while the behavior improved. But it's
inconsistent. <br>
<br>
I have a bunch of filters set up to try to control the behavior that
live on my desktop, which is always on and processing email. I use
the imap version so that the server holds all the stuff; that way I
can see the results on my phone and laptops. Even so, the results
are still inconsistent but at least I'm seeing the same thing on
each device..<br>

I’d say about 1/3 to 1/2 of all emails from this group go into my
spam folder. (Gmail address accessed through Apple's Mail App.)
This thread is a good example. I got Pat’s response in my inbox,
while Tim’s original was in my junk folder. <br

taken the time to see if it happens with all my emails, I
don’t use outlook, but from my iPhone & I think from
Thunderbird.
