With all the very savvy people in this group I'm hoping someone works in IT and understands email.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">My email address is jblair1948@cox.net. When I got my Cox account some 15 yrs ago, they were providing the email and support, ie. my email went to their servers. I was using Eudora at the time and POP mail. Then about 2 to 3 yrs ago, Cox stopped hosting email for their customers and passed it on to Yahoo. However, I still use my old cox.net email address but to get my mail I have to log into Yahoo instead of logging into Cox.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">So is this now like the cell phones where you can carry your email address with you or is my email going to cox and then forwarded to Yahoo?</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">The reason I'm asking is, that if I change my ISP from Cox to say Verizon can I get my email send to Verizon or even Gmail or will I be required to get a new email address at either Gmail or who ever is my new ISP's email?</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">JohnT,</div><div class="ydp1d40d900signature"><div dir="ltr" style="font-family:Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;font-size:16px;"><div class="ydpca89bbc3pasted-link"><br><div>
