you need to run the car in 'accessory mode' only. That means all
systems on, but the engine isn't running.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Normally, in keyless cars, you just
hit the 'start' button without pressing the brake. The same thing
to shut off this mode.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">I don't know if that is what you are

<br><font size=3 face="Arial">I've just run into this problem twice now
in the last month. I have a ODB II scanner, a Actron CP9680 I bought
back in 2021. A couple of weeks ago I tried to read the codes on
a late model KIA and to day on a 2018 Cadillac. </font>
<br>
<br><font size=3 face="Arial">When I plugged the scanner in to both cars,
it displayed turn the engine off.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=3 face="Arial">Well both of these cars had keyless ignitions.
So does anyone know how do you turn off the ignition on a keyless
system?</font>
