    The pic is what's commonly called a 'load tester.' They have, for
    the most part, been superseded by solid state 'battery condition
    testers,' which provide much more information (for instance,
    internal resistance and state of charge). I have a load tester on
    the shelf gathering dust, while my condition tester is now my go-to.
    It doesn't hurt to have both; if the load tester you have still
    functions I'd keep it and get a condition tester. <br>

        I am looking t get a battery tester for testing condition of car
        batteries. My Dad has an older one with the Century and Nesco
        brands on it (picture attached). He got it a long time ago but
        it has performed well. I am looking for a good quality version
        of the same style of tester. I have come across the Milton
        1260M. Made in China of course, but does anyone have any
        experience with this model? Any other recommendations for a good
        quality tester?</div>
