It killed me to recycle the tool because it worked just fine apart from the battery issue, but I did wind up parting with the Makita and getting a Ryobi drill motor and battery. My advice is you pinch your nose and do the same.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>That said, I now have several Ryobi tools that all work on the same batteries and chargers and life is a lot simpler.
