<div class=""> <font size="3" class="">That's a clever idea.  It is an excellent heat exchanger and is good for the pressure.  But it could restrict air flow.  Most are just a long, serpentine tube with fins.  It all depends on what air tools you are using.  It is possible that you couldn't run a sand blast cabinet through it.  But you could hook up the high volume users to bypass the cooler and save the dry air for the tools that need it.</font><br class="">

I’d be concerned with using a transmission cooler for an aIr cooler because they are not designed for pressure use. I wouldn’t think a trans cooler would need to be rated at more than 10psi. </blockquote></div>
