<div dir="ltr">It depends on your drill.  When I was in A&P school we were never allowed to use an electric drill for this very reason.  We only used air drills.  But a lot of newer drills are brushless.  No brushes, no sparks.  <br></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr">On Thu, Dec 6, 2018 at 4:09 PM Steven Trovato <<a href="mailto:strovato@optonline.net">strovato@optonline.net</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">

There is no way I would do this.  On my drill, if you look into the
vent slots while the drill is running, you see sparks.  If you are
going to bother buying a pump, just go get a small electric fuel
pump.  There are still risks, but at least you are dealing with
something intended for gasoline.  You can find suitable pumps for
not much money.  Here's one example,  pretty much selected at
random.<br><br>
