<p>Thanks, Ben. I have a 'jumb pox'--Cat brand from Costco--and
used it twice. Once, it helped a low-battery Toyota start, but
wouldn't crank my Mustang when its battery died. I also need 6V;
this one is 12V only (but it does have a compressor built-in).</p>

<div dir="ltr">I was considering getting one of these as well but
as I shopped I found the selection greatly diminished from 10+
years ago when I last looked. They seem to have largely been
supplanted by the "jump boxes" which are much smaller,
self-contained battery packs that can jump large vehicles while
being small and portable. It made me rethink buying one of
wheeled chargers/jump starters and I haven't yet bought
anything. Harbor Freight still had one choice in the
charger/jump starter plug-in boxes, but they had a dozen choices
of jump boxes. Not sure what you were looking to primarily use
it for, but you might consider the jump box as an alternative.

I'm in need of one; one of the larger, (usually) wheeled type
(I already <br>
have 'trickle' chargers). It has to start/charge both 6V and
12V <br>
engines. The prevailing brand appears to be Schumacher, does
anybody <br>

thinking in the <br>
$200 range, but will go higher if there's a 'must have.'<br>
