It would go dead in between charges. The batteries consist of four six-volt batteries, wired in series. So my setup is 24 volt. I expect yours is, too. </div><div><br></div><div>I have always used Battery Tenders, and for this unit, I bought a 24-volt version. I clip it across the linked batteries, and it keeps the unit ready always. Plus or Battery Minder. They will charge to a certain voltage, shut off,
then wait for the battery to get low again before coming back on. The low
current ones are nice and gentle. </font>

in charger for this unit. It's 4 X 6v batteries. I don't want
to have to disconnect and reconnect chargers if possible. (also,
do BM handle 6v batteries?)</font>
