In my case, it is a sports car that is not driven for periods of time… I wound up making my own, using a 2 meter ham radio transceiver. The model I use is a ready-to-go model, so maybe saying ‘making my own’ is a stretch. See: <a href="http://www.byonics.com/mt-rtg">http://www.byonics.com/mt-rtg</a><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>This won’t work for you on short notice, unless you already have your amateur radio license. Only a Technician level license is needed, but you cannot get one on demand in a couple of days… If you DO have a license, you provide the manufacturer with your call sign, and they program it into the radio. The unit then comes pre-programmed with callsign and other parameters. You just plug it in, and you are up and running on the APRS packet system…<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>Al Fuller</span><span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>al at bighealey dot org</span><span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>'65 BJ-8</span><span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>'85 Rx-7</span><span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p></div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #E1E1E1 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'> Shop-talk [mailto:shop-talk-bounces@autox.team.net] <b>On Behalf Of </b>Steve Hammatt, Mount Vernon WA USA<br><b>Sent:</b> Wednesday, September 14, 2016 5:18 PM<br><b>To:</b> Shop-talk@autox.team.net<br><b>Subject:</b> [Shop-talk] GPS Tracking<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><div><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black'>I’m looking at two different methods of adding GPS tracking, on a <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:black'>short-term basis to my car trailer.
