<div dir="ltr">I'd do exactly what you suggest, John--anchor a loop/ring/anchor to the slab and use that.<div><br></div><div>I saw that because my garage has evidence of one of the walls having been pulled off the foundation. What I ended up doing was to mount a 5000# D ring at the back of the garage and attaching a snatch block to that. Then I used a winch on my tow vehicle to pull the project in and out of the garage. To pull out, just hook up directly and pull. To pull in, hook to the front of the project, through the snatch block and pull. The D-Ring was small enough and mounted all the way against the back wall, so it was never in the way and I didn't have to worry about hooking and unhooking.<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div><div class="h5">On Fri, Jul 1, 2016 at 12:20 PM, john niolon <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:jniolon@att.net" target="_blank">jniolon@att.net</a>></span> wrote:<br></div></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0 0 0 .8ex;border-left:1px #ccc solid;padding-left:1ex"><div><div class="h5">

<div>I’m working on a truck project (53 f-100) in a single car garage...
the truck is almost complete with 460 ci engine cab and bed in place...
when I started it was easy to push in and out of the garage.. especially out
since the floor and drive slope slightly away from the door. Pushing
it back in is getting to be a problem when I’m working alone. I’m
thinking about mounting an extra 3000# winch to the floor and spooling out
the cable to the trailer hitch on the truck and using the winch to pull it back
in. The truck is on ball bearing wheeled dollies and moves easily on flat
ground. I need ideas for mounting the winch temporarily when I need
it... </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Maybe anchoring a removable ring in the floor and use chain thru the ring
to tie to the winch mount plate... or something similar. Not sure on
floor thickness but know it’s at least 4” (I’m gonna drill and find out
actual thickness) I’m open to all suggestions and comments</div>
