id=yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1460171411096_129408>Netflix just uses the internet to
stream the shows. U-verse is ATT's brand of both internet and tv bundle.
Depending on what you're using Netflix on, there are several ways to get it to
the TV. Previously mentioned Roku boxes, Amazon Fire box/stick, even a laptop or
PC. All of the boxes and phones, connect to the TV somehow. Think video out and
video in on the TV. That's all those boxes are doing. I've run
streamed movies from the laptop to the tv. Works fine. Although I have a
good dual core router, it balks sometimes on wireless, so when you're streaming,
might be best to hook up the ethernet cable to the device if possible. The other
option which you're looking for (turn on TV and watch) is to get a 'smart' tv.
It has the app built in to get netflix directly on the TV instead of using
previously mentioned devices. So several ways to get what you want. I'm
still leery of 'smart' TV's because some of them have cameras built in, and the
security isn't that good.</SPAN></DIV>
