I like the AutoMeter gauges, too, particularly the larger, 270 degree sweep
mechanical versions. All you have to do is glance at where the needle is to
make sure the coolant temp is OK. I put one in my Datsun Roadster, along
with a matching oil pressure gauge. Same ease of use. The installation was
a snap using an Eqqus (IIRC) adapter set I picked up at a local O’Reilly’s.

Wiring the lights is easy, too. Just don't use the crimp-on Scotch-Locs.
They’re likely to eventually cut your wires. Check out Posi-Loc connectors
on Amazon or Crutchfields.
