[Shop-talk] Oil spill solution

HI guys,

I am probably the last person on the planet to know this, but I recently
bought Zep Instant Spill Absorber because the auto parts store did not have
cat litter.

I have to say that it is the best stuff I have ever used.

Period.

I recently changed the filters and replaced the ATF in the transmissions of
my GMC Savana and Cadillac ATS, spilling ATF, of course, in various places
around the garage.  If you have ever done automatic transmissions, you know
how badly ATF seems to spread everywhere and what a pain it is to clean up
properly.

I was struggling with rags and paper towels to clean it up until I
remembered I had this stuff and gave it a shot.

It was amazing! Simply amazing!

If you just get it near oil, it seems to suck it up and then transforms
into clean "sweepable sand."

A tiny bit will absorb large quantities of oil and it leaves the surfaces
clean and dry.

I will never use cat litter again.
