IMO, I ignore the damned things, at least as far as replacing them, unless
one is leaking. I've been quoted around $120/each to replace them. That
said, I'll offer good odds that pretty much everybody in this group keeps
an eye on tire pressure. As a rule of thumb tire pressure varies around 2
PSI with a 10 degree change in ambient temperature.
I have my tires balanced and rotated every 5K and that's worked out well.
Getting ready to replace the tires on our 2015 Odyssey, which seems like it
eats tires. Can't remember what I paid for the last set (Yokohama YK-CTX)
at that time, nor do I remember the mileage on the van when I bought them,
but I can find out. Discount has them for $202, plus the usual add-ons.
Discount also has the Michelin Defender 2 with a considerably longer
service life, for $211 through February, so I plan to buy those this time
around.
