Don't know if any on you guys have tried to cut plaster and drywall. Trying to cut through plaster is and drywall, is hell on blades
My wife and I are removing the soffit about the kitchen cabinets as part of our kitchen remodel. To cut the plaster and drywall I used my oscillating saw (multi tool). I had some wood and metal cutting blades so I tried them. Neither one of these lasted 3 ft. I also tried using my saber saw and went through 2 of those blades in short order. Plaster is just hell on blades.
I started researching saw blades that would cut plaster. The first one I got was for my Craftsman Saber saw. I got a DIABLO4 in. 6 TPI Carbide T-Shank Jig Saw Blade for Fiber Cement and Plaster at about $15 ea at Home Depot.

I bought 2. Well I've cut out a panel of plastered drywall which required 2 cuts floor to ceiling and then 1 horizontal cut between the 2 studs. When I finished those cuts, it didn't look used. I don't know how many more cuts I've made with that blade but it's still going strong. I really didn't need the 2nd blade. They are outstanding!!!!
Then I went looking for a decent blade for my oscillating saw. I went to Harbor Freight and bought 2 Titanium blades.

They weren't worth squat. Took the teeth right off of them.
I ended up back at home depot and bought 2 of Dremil's Universal 1-1/4 in. Carbide Flush Cutting Oscillating Multi-Tool Blade (1-Piece) for about $18 ea:

Man, these are the cat's Meow!!! I don't know how many linear feet I've cut cutting the soffits but I've still on my first blade and it's still cutting great.
I also found a couple of different plaster cutting blades for a reciprocating saws:

Unfortunately, I haven't bought and tried any of these.
